Further, if you post derogatory statements, even if you can ultimately prove they are true, do you have the energy and money to do so? Finally, are your children old enough to be exposed to this stuff? Are they old enough to go online and see what you are putting out there? Judges do not appreciate parents who end up putting the children in the middle of their battles. It may create additional ammunition that your ex can use against you. As noted in other responses, negative posts which are spread far and wide to everyone you know (and don't know) online may cause the Court to question your ability foster a healthy relationship between your children and both of their parents. Second, airing your issues online has the potential to create many problems. In the first place, I would be very surprised if you would actually get strangers to give you money to fund your litigation with your ex. Just because you are allowed to do something doesn't make it a good idea. It is not illegal to air your issues online and in public or to ask people to send you money. ![]()
